Our house has a long tradition. It was first mentioned in a document as early as 1421 as "Tavern zur Römerstraße". A vaulted ceiling in a guest room and some cellar vaults still bear witness to this period. The owner, Dr. Georg Wallner took over the inn known to Salzburgers as the "Römerwirt" from his parents in 2002. After almost a year of extensive construction work, he and his wife Katharina Wallner opened what is now the city hotel Via Roma**** in July 2003. In 2012, all hotel rooms were completely renovated again. Our house has 29 rooms (single rooms, double rooms and family suites). The Hotel Via Roma**** is located in the district of Nonntal, adjacent to the old town.
